The Duchess of Cambridge is often seen wearing the heritage label, which began in Hampstead with shoes and has since expanded to include contemporary clothing and accessories marked by expert tailoring, luxurious fabrics and classic silhouettes. In choosing this location for its stateside flagship, Hobbs U.S. president Jim Walters focused on Greenwich as a town that speaks to Hobbs’ “core DNA” and that is “home to women who are influencers in both home and work.” Transitional pieces are stocked throughout the store; floral print dresses and sophisticated separates that pair well with a colorful selection of outerwear or one of the brand’s signature trench coats. In transforming the space, storied antiques and décor were carefully chosen from all over the United Kingdom, including a tabletop antique jewelry cabinet from the ’20s and a carved plaster and oak mirror rescued from a Welsh estate.
