While at Baang restaurant with friends visiting from Florida, Nicole Brittain, known as Nikki, was approached by Justin Paul Valenti with twenty questions and said he couldn’t let her leave without getting her phone number. Her friends felt sorry for Justin, who was on crutches with a knee brace, and encouraged Nikki to come forth with the number, which she did. Three years later, Justin recreated their first date that began in Central Park and continued through dinner at Amber Sushi on the upper East Side, where he proposed and Nikki accepted. The couple chose Gabi Beach at the Paradisus Palma Real in the Dominican Republic for their ceremony; a reception followed on the Olympus Terrace.
The bride is the daughter of Kay Brittain of Hickory, North Carolina, and the late Jim Brittain of Orlando, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida and works in neuropsychiatry sales for Merck & Company in the Bronx and Westchester, New York.
The groom is the son of Linda Valenti of Greenwich, and Robert Valenti of Stamford. He graduated from Greenwich High School and Norwalk Community College. Justin is a project manager with Tri-State LED in Greenwich.
Following a honeymoon in the Dominican Republic, the newlyweds returned home to Stamford, Connecticut.
