The New Canaan Playhouse Is Ready for Its Second Act

By the time you read this, the New Canaan Playhouse will again be open for business. The theater first opened in the fall of 1923 with a showing of Down to the Sea in Ships. In later years, The Playhouse was operated by Bowtie Cinemas, who was forced to close its doors during the Covid-19 pandemic. Four long years later, New Canaanites are ready to celebrate as the renovated and refreshed theater reopens under it new operators, CinemaLabs. The second act of The New Canaan Playhouse is set to begin on Friday, June 28 and there is bound to be a standing ovation from eager crowds!
