Spring into action

Seeing our communities through a fresh set of eyes, and most importantly a new set of seasons, has always inspired me. Some may love year-round warm weather or frigid temperatures in faraway countries but, while I love them both, fancying myself both a beach lover and ski bum I will never be partial to a single climate. Westport, Weston & Wilton burst with joy, action and diverse activities throughout the year. While we may all love a cold plunge at Compo Beach in the wintertime, and seemingly adore being bikini-clad at the same place in the summer, or appreciating unexpected house-grown tulips at the Westport Farmer’s Market’s winter version while equally loving their fresh seasonal produce in spring and summertime, our towns are rich with ideas. In this issue we send you off into springtime with 30+ community-centric activity ideas, we share about families so enriched by our communities that they have turned challenge into triumph and we highlight female trailblazers who have turned the notion that you need to make your mark or choose your destiny in your twenties. Spoiler alert, not true! From culinary to culture, design to doing good philanthropically we highlight the people who make our community sing sweet springtime tunes.
