CALLING ALL WESTPORTERS! One of our favorite places, Great Cakes, is about to go out of business unless they can raise $4,000 by tomorrow. The public schools banning cupcakes has hit them hard, but they continue to make the best cakes, croissants and baked goods in town. More importantly, it's a local mom n' pop business, and Lord knows we don't want to lose yet another.
Anyone who's been there knows how lovely Rick and Bonnie are, how hard they work, and how good their product is.
I just went in with a check and opened an account to give them an instant hit of cash. Others are doing the same.
If we all went in today with checks to open accounts, we'll help a wonderful local business stay afloat. They've been here forever, and we'd really hate to see them go.
Remember, it needs to be done today…
