Monday June 30 was a perfect summer evening. The views of the Long Island Sound from the Weeburn Beach Club were spectacular. The vibe was relaxed and friendly. Jeff Kelly, Vice President of Kelly Associates, likes to treat his 70 agents to a party twice a year to congratulate them on their hard work and to promote team-bonding. One is around the Christmas holiday and the other is in summer time. “Normally, the real estate market in Darien and Rowayton tends to slow down as July 4th approaches,” says Kelly. But this year, as spring rolled into summer, the market was still going strong. Kelly prefers to be cautiously optimistic about the local real estate business, but the smile on his face indicated that he was pleasantly surprised by the continued vibrancy of new listings and homes in good condition and desirable locations selling quickly, often having multiple offers. This is all good news for the towns of Darien and Rowayton.
