Claire O’Hare, a New Canaan mom of four and Facebook’s former head of strategic development, has launched a jewelry company with her sister Susan di Marco, a former dentist. Livewell Designs was born as O’Hare wrapped up a 25-year career in media, and her sister was beginning to apply her dentistry skill set of working with waxes and molds to jewelry design. DiMarco gave O’Hare a diamond moon necklace for her fiftieth birthday, and after receiving countless compliments on the piece, O’Hare thought it would be great to bring her sister’s beautiful creations to market using all she learned at Facebook. The jewelry blends organic design with high-end metals. Each piece is handmade from sterling silver and 18kt gold and sprinkled with diamonds, sapphires and semiprecious stones.
