August Agenda

Looking for new things to do this August? From date nights to family daytrips and even adventures with your dog, these five agenda-worthy outings are sure to heat up your summer in Stamford even more.

Stamford Sunset Sails

It’s date night! Pack up dinner and your favorite drink, and hop aboard SoundWaters’ 80-foot Schooner for a stunning sunset sail on the Long Island Sound. The 2-hour long excursion, which is priced at $35/person and offered through September 30th, is the perfect way to unwind and appreciate the natural beauty of Stamford’s coast.

Sterling Farms Driving Range

Practice your swing or teach the kids! Sterling Farms Golf Course offers a fully equipped outdoor driving range with both chipping and putting areas for you to work on your game…even after dark!

Downtown Farmers Market

Freshen up your August weekends with downtown Stamford’s seasonal Farmers Market on Bedford Street. Bring the farm straight to your home with a selection of just-harvested fruits and vegetables, flowers and even baked goods from various local vendors. The market runs every Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM through October 31st.

Dog Friends of Stamford

Head outside for a summertime walk in the park with your favorite canine companion! Dog Friends of Stamford, a nonprofit organization aimed to create and maintain a dog park in town, is a great place for you (and your dog) to make new friends.

Stamford Museum and Nature Center

It’s time to explore! Gather the family and enjoy a picnic on the scenic grounds of Stamford Museum and Nature Center, a sanctuary that offers over 80 acres of trails, educational programs and various nature exhibits. Be sure to visit the otter pond to see Edith and Edie—two playful river otters who have made the center their home.
