On Saturday, April 30th the New Canaan Nature Center was turned into a 20’s era speakeasy by the Preschool parents. With over 135 guests, moonshine being poured, and a bathtub filled with Two Roads Beer everyone was ready to raise money to help support the Nature Center. Throughout the night black and white movies were projected onto the ceiling of the tent as the guests enjoyed food provided by Revel by DinnerThyme while bidding on an array of silent auction items. The live auction was kicked off in style by our very own Jeremy Thompson, an NCNC Preschool Parent. With Jeremy on the mic and items such as tickets to SNL and a weekend of guided fly fishing up for grabs everyone walked away, if not a winner, then certainly entertained. After the live auction the DJ continued to spin to the very end. At the end of the night after raising around over $40,000, many friends of the Nature Center found themselves at Gates Restaurant wondering what would be in store next year for the NCNC Preschool’s 50th Anniversary.
