Ashton and Calin first crossed paths in the lovely town of Saratoga Springs, where Ashton was studying at Skidmore College and Calin was working at the nuclear power plant run by the U.S. Navy. The couple dated for two years until Calin proposed to Ashton on the skating rink in Rockefeller Center. The groom’s stepfather, Pastor Douglas Rupp, officiated the ceremony at The White Room in St. Augustine, Florida, where the reception followed. The bride’s father was the wedding photographer and has been snapping stories for Moffly Media and GREENWICH magazine for almost three decades.
The bride, daughter of Robert and Georgine Capazzo, graduated from Eastchester High School and Skidmore College. Ashton is a seafood buyer for the Winn Dixie Corporation in Jacksonville, Florida.
The groom, stepson of Douglas and Connie Rupp of Nebraska, graduated from Gering High School and Chadron State College. Calin is a Corpsman in the United States Navy.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Greece. They live in Jacksonville, Florida.
