Brooke and William met at Le Bilboquet on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Brooke was having dinner with her college roommate, Paige Pedersen, who grew up with William in Greenwich. William happened to be seated at the table next to them. The pair hit it off immediately. After two years of dating, William proposed to Brooke on a beach in Osterville, Massachusetts, where the bride’s family has a summer home.
Reverend John W. Rick III officiated at the ceremony at St. George’s Chapel in Newport, Rhode Island. He had also married the parents of the bride thirty-seven years ago. The reception followed at the New York Yacht Club at Harbour Court.
The bride, daughter of Alan and Susan Botsford of Boston, graduated from St. George’s School and the University of Virginia. She is the president and chief operating officer of InsideHook, a digital media company in New York.
The groom, son of Christopher and Margaret Sinclair of Greenwich and Palm Beach, graduated from Brunswick School, Wake Forest University and received an MBA from Columbia Business School. He is an executive director at J.P. Morgan in New York.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Paris and the Amalfi Coast before returning home to New York.
