The Choir of Westminster Abbey is scheduled to perform a concert in Westport on November 2 which will be followed by a reception.
The choir is one of the most renowned in the world and consists of 35 men and boys. They play a role in the daily choral services in the Westminster Abbey as well as royal and national occasions that take place. The Choir was invited in 2012 by Pope Benedict to sing with the Sistine Chapel Choir at the Papal Mass for the Solemnity of St. Peter and St. Paul in St. Peter’s Basilica.
In addition, over two billion people worldwide heard the choir sing at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in April of 2011.
