Dream Weaver

Simplify and streamline elsewhere, because textile goods add personality to your home, and Root Cellar Designs makes unique ones right here in Weston. Susan Young and Tamara Stephenson launched it in April 2015. Stephenson attended Parsons School of Design for interior design and helps visualize the prints; Young made a career in fashion and textile design and serves as the technical person in the creation process. The designs are printed on a linen/cotton blend, which is made into pillows, table runners and such or sold by the yard to the design industry. When Stephenson remembered that her husband’s grandmother used to can and store food in a root cellar, the search for a name was over. Quick success has allowed Root Cellar Designs to expand its offerings. This spring, expect three collections, with pillows and tablecloths in stores. For now, go to rootcellardesigns.com
