Jeffrey and Emma met while working on Ned Lamont’s campaign to represent Connecticut in the U.S. Senate. They got to know each other very well during the long hours on the campaign trail. And so began their romance. Years later while on a weekend getaway for Emma’s birthday, Jeffrey proposed.
During a brief break in a downpour, Judge Maureen Dennis Kelly officiated at the ceremony at Hildene in Manchester, Vermont. Halfway through the vows, guests erupted in spontaneous cheers when two full double rainbows appeared. Then the band, in the style of a New Orleans wedding parade, led guests down to the reception tent.
The bride, daughter of Wilder Gleason and Jennifer Boyd of Norwalk, graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall and the University of Chicago. Emma works for Uncommon Schools in New York.
The groom, son of the late Thomas Aser and Patricia Aser of Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich High School, Boston College and New York University. Jeffrey works for The Durst Organization in New York.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Lake Como, Florence, Tuscany and Santorini before returning home to New York.
