Get Cozy

Anthropologie and designer Amber Lewis partner up for a new collection.

The seasons are changing. Westporters can see the leaves starting to change color on the trees and the shoppers along Main Street starting to wear luxe sweaters. It’s a time when we’re thinking about getting our homes ready for us to spend more time indoors. We want it to be relaxing and expressive. So while strolling the stores filling up with new leather boots and oversized scarves, we were pleased to also discover new finds for home. And it all starts at the very tip of the street in Bedford Square’s anchor store, Anthropologie.

Anthropologie was built for wandering its vignettes of a Boho-chic style in of its bold and eclectic gloriousness. But this fall, it’s showing a more demur coziness. Now, just days after turning autumn, the company announced its collaboration with designer Amber Lewis, founder of Los Angeles-based design firm Amber Interiors. The interior designer brings her laidback California cool that works so well in our coastal town. Think neutrals that can be layered, creating an interesting and personal story. It’s bungalow eclectic that translates into larger homes or even spacious pool houses/home offices.

We checked out the new offerings that outfit everything from the busy entryway to a solo cozy reading corner. In calm neutrals and soothing textures, the collection’s furniture and home accessories provide hooks to hang fall jackets and hats as well as benches and sofas stack throw pillows. In all, it includes nearly forty pieces for the living, dining and bedroom. Locals can see it nearby, because it will be featured in the Westport store at Bedford Square  as well as at anthropologie.com.

This is Amber Lewis’s first major design partnership and the collection launches before her first book, Made for Living, is published in October.

Here a few picks to help you embrace the change of season. See more at Amber Lewis for Anthropologie. Photos courtesy of Anthropologie.
