No More Excuses

The buzz around town leading up to last month’s opening of the Chelsea Piers Athletic Club arguably kicked off some resolutions early. Since Men’s Health called CPAC “one of the most innovative gyms” in the U.S., fitness enthusiasts have been drawn to this 65,000-square-foot facility, with its 25,000 square feet of strength and cardio equipment, a dedicated mind/body center for Pilates Reformer classes, multi-disciplinary and hot yoga, group fitness studios and a space for triathlon and competitive cycling training. So what are you waiting for? With more than 110 group classes offered weekly, there is something for everyone of all fitness levels.

And given the promise of a soon-to-come custom Queenax Bridge studio for suspension, boxing and functional training—and access to Chelsea Piers’s Olympic-sized pool, basketball courts, 1/5-mile indoor track, indoor turf fields, and tennis and squash courts—the chances of falling into a rut are practically none. Join the others already making good on their New Year’s goals. Wait! There’s more: Any day now Chelsea Piers will open its Dance Academy, offering six types of dance at varying levels for all ages.
