Now’s the time to gather your friends and head outdoors for an organized workout. Whether you do it for fun or for a good cause (or both), here’s your chance to squeeze in some exercise while enjoying the weather and giving back to those in need.

1  Fleet Feet Pub Runs
Weekly group 3K or 5K runs, followed by a pint (or two) at a local pub, Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Starting points vary. Online registration encouraged. fleetfeetstamford.com

2  ARI of CT Walk of Independence
Supporting services for people with developmental disabilities, May 1. Cove Island Park. Registration begins at 10 a.m.; walk at 11:15 a.m. Family festival to follow. arict.org/walkforindependence

3  MRP Fit Club
Support Mill River Park through Zumba, yoga, BollyFit, CrossFit. Be part of the popular outdoor group-class movement that gets together to sweat it out. Starts May 15. Meet at Grand Steps. Classes are free. Check website for schedule of classes. millriverpark.org

4  Boys & Girls Club Corporate 5K
Supporting after-school programs for Stamford youth, May 26. Commons Park (Harbor Point) start. Online registration encouraged. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m.; race begins at 7 p.m. stamfordboysandgirls5k.com

5  Hope in Motion

6  Navigators Stamford KIC IT Triathlon
Olympic and sprint triathlons, plus 5K and 10K races, to benefit Kids in Crisis, June 12. Cummings Beach start for triathlons; Mill River Park start for races.
