A big anniversary. You know what that means. A chance to reflect on where we’ve been, who we are. They also help us to turn our thoughts to where we are going and who we want to become. As the town of Fairfield celebrates 375 years, various town organizations, especially the Fairfield Museum and History Center, will be hosting events. Some will be dedicated to the roots of our town, others will incorporate the spirit of the milestone. There’s a lot to keep track of, so for up-to-date information, head to the town website (fairfieldct.org; click on “Communtity Calendar”). Also, Fairfield Living will highlight events and news in each of our issues this year. One definite stop: Head over to the Fairfield Museum and History Center to explore its impressive exhibit on the town’s history. The artifacts, works of art, timescapes and hands-on activities will give you a close-up view of where we came from—and how we came to be the town we are today.
