Sweat For A Cause

On Sunday, October 5, members and supporters of the Young Women’s League (YWL) of New Canaan came together for a 45 minute, full-body indoor cycling event, Sweat for a Cause. The charity ride took place at SoulCycle Greenwich and was sponsored by New Country Porsche of Greenwich.

Sweat for a Cause was a fundraiser that enabled participants to embody the YWL 2015 giving theme “Strong Women Make Strong Communities.” Former YWL President Nicole Cribbins spearheaded the event, “We accomplished something as individuals but as a group we did something more important, raise money to support women in our community. It was a wonderful way to kick-start our year.”

The YWL is committed to enriching the community through volunteer service and fundraising efforts. The League hosts local favorites including the Holiday Market held at Waveny House, the New Canaan Easter Egg Hunt and Couture for a Cause. To date, the YWL has raised over $3 million, which is given in the form of grants to over 150 local and regional organizations.

The YWL of New Canaan welcomes all women interested in making a positive impact in their community. If you would like to learn more please email newmembers@ywlnewcanaan.org or visit ywlnewcanaan.org.
