In a way, Wesley and Patrick were both late for their blind date—they just didn’t know it. By the time each arrived to the Yale School of Management orientation picnic at Lighthouse Point Park, all of the tables were taken, so they grabbed a spot on the jetty and got to know each other. A few days later, Patrick asked Wesley out on a real first date. They both arrived on time and have been together ever since. The couple dated for two years before becoming engaged.
After spending Thanksgiving with the bride’s grandparents in California, Wesley and Patrick set off to explore Napa Valley, where Patrick would propose among the grapevines of the Round Pond Estate vineyard. The Rev. Dr. James Lemler officiated at the ceremony at Christ Church in Greenwich. The wedding party arrived to the Riverside Yacht Club reception via the father-of-the-bride’s boat, Aphrodite. Wesley and her mother surprised the groom and guests with a fireworks display over the Sound.
The bride, daughter of Chuck Royce of Riverside and Karen Royce of Greenwich, graduated from Greenwich Academy, Brown University and the Yale School of Management. Wesley is the digital project manager at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.
The groom, son of Pat and Addie Conlisk of New York, graduated from Ward Melville High School, Boston College and the Yale School of Management. Patrick works for PepsiCo in White Plains.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Athens, Crete, Mykonos, Santorini and Paris before returning home to New York City.
