Westport Editor’s Letter: A La Plage

Portrait by Katie Tuzman

Our community during the summer season is undeniably spectacular. From Al fresco dining, we give you our top picks, to watching businesses flourish reliant on the great outdoors like Zadie’s Farm and their wood-fired syrup, Kate McLeod ritualistic body stones now available at Terrain and Meg Young’s Westport-based home décor business Cailini Coastal, our local enclave has inspired nationally recognized brands. And conversely we recognize the rise in global powerhouses like Alli Webb, co-founder of Drybar, finding Westport a key location in their expansion plans as she has, along with co-founder Brittany Driscoll and their app-based massage concept Squeeze now open on the Post Road. Our goal is always to bring you the best of the best and listen to what you think! In this issue we publish our yearly Best of the Gold Coast feature with winners across 170 categories and nearly 100,000 votes cast. Congratulations to all of the winners!

If you’re anything like us we’re feeling those oh-so-summery vibes. As is the case with most who move here, the Weiss family fell in love with how our community melds tradition with modernity, and their historic home in Westport does just that. We take a tour of their beloved property recently finished in collaboration with Innate Studios.

If you’re anything like us we’re feeling those oh-so-summery vibes. Enjoy these next few months a la plage
