Longtime Fairfield resident and journalist Don Harrison, the author of Hoops in Connecticut: The Nutmeg State’s Passion for Basketball, signed copies in the Fairfield University Bookstore. The book focuses on the state’s many contributions to the sport, from stars to outstanding teams at the college and high school levels. First Selectman Michael Tetreau was on hand for a copy; his father, Fern, was the assistant coach on Roger Ludlowe High School’s 1954–55 team that captured the New England Interscholastic Championship at Boston Garden and is included in Harrison’s latest work
