Dovecote: Treasure Trove

A few years ago, Dovecote renovated a small offset from their main store to showcase jewelry. The nook houses over 300 designers from international markets as well as local artists. Dovecote’s shelves are organized by “look” rather than strictly by designer and include semi-precious costume jewelry as well as a robust selection of fine jewelry. Check out Dovecote for jewelry that will keep you chic all summer… and all year-long!

Turquoise is a fashion that defies time. It is always fun, warm-weather friendly, and makes a summer tan glow! Pictured are assorted designers from Dovecote’s turquoise display. Most items are 14k gold fill or 14k gold vermeil with turquoise stones. Prices range from $15 to $335.

Tribal touches are all the rage this season! Pick up a Me & Ro sterling silver necklace at Dovecote to look flawlessly casual with this season’s beaded bags and headbands. Perfect for this summer’s music festivals or dining at some of Fairfield’s great outdoor patios. Prices range from $115 to $975.

One of Dovecote’s bestsellers is the “Martha Graham” ring by Julieri, pictured bottom and left of center. The rings are offered in white gold, yellow gold or tri-gold with white pave diamonds and can be found in Dovecote’s diamond case, which also features designers such as Keri Starker, Chan Luu, Julieri, Sonyarenee Jewelry Design, and local designer VSB Jewels. It is always a good time to sparkle! Prices range from $200 to $7,000.

The geometric look is officially in this season. From color-blocked frocks to bold paneling, spring’s slew of geometric offerings has fully renewed our fascination with all things shape-centric, and Dovecote offers some of the best, boldest stones of the season. All Vaubel jewelry is handcrafted in the U.S.A. and is signed by the designer. The stones vary, but are usually citrine, quartz, amethyst, moonstone or topaz. And all the jewelry is high quality 18k gold vermeil, dipped three times over sterling silver. Vaubel’s chunky but sophisticated look elegantly combines both style and statement. Prices range from $500 to $3,000.

There is nothing more brilliant than owning local jewelry. It’s our style, and it is our grace. Ann Lightfoot is a local designer from Connecticut and all of her jewelry is handmade using custom dyed ribbon, linen, and stones. Dovecote carries necklaces and earrings, and prices range from $140 to $350. Other designers in the case include Alessandra Gallo and Asha by ADM.
