The Voice of New York

You could make a case for Sal Marchiano being the voice of New York sports. A strong case.

He has worked at all three major networks, plus ESPN and WPIX in his thirty-five years as a sportscaster. He has done play-by-play for Major League Baseball and has covered prime-time boxing and college football. Then there are the programs Marchiano has hosted: Back on Track: Giants/Jets in 1988; Countdown to Kickoff in 1987; On to the Playoffs: The Mets Second Season; and The Future Is Now: A Look at the Mets and Yankees. And recently Marchiano won a sportscasting Emmy for WB 11 News at 10.
