Betten Orr and Nicholas Franklyn Howard exchanged vows in a lush, tropical garden at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados in front of their closest friends and family. Following the ceremony, which was officiated by Reverend Selven Lowe, the wedding party walked up the beach to an intimate waterfront reception.
The bride, daughter of Anne Maria Friderichsen Orr and Timothy Orr of New Canaan, graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design and is a designer with Vineyard Vines. The groom is the son of Donna and Nicholas Howard, Sr., also of New Canaan. The groom graduated from the film program at Full Sail University and is a manager at Match SONO.
The couple became close friends when they were students in the first-ever Mandarin class at New Canaan High School. They began dating in 2018 and got engaged on a beautiful winter’s day at Tod’s Point in Greenwich in February 2022. The couple currently resides in Norwalk.
