In a classic New York moment, Michael and Lindsay bumped into each other at an after-work event, began chatting and hit it off immediately. The couple started dating right away and found that they had a mutual love for travel. Over the course of their five-year courtship they covered Asia, Europe, India and South America. But it is Nantucket that Lindsay and Michael call one of their favorite places. So over Labor Day weekend, Michael surprised Lindsay during a sunset walk at Brandt Point Beach by hiding a ring in a seashell, having her find the shell, getting down on one knee and proposing.
Reverend George E. Andrews II officiated at the ceremony at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. The tiered champagne tower and cake by Sylvia Weinstock were highlights of the evening.
The bride, daughter of Alan and Sue Weber of Greenwich, graduated from Rye Country Day School and the University of Pennsylvania. Lindsay is a senior account manager for Google in New York City.
The groom, son of Frank and Gerri Siano of Atlanta, graduated from Christian Brothers Academy and Villanova University. Michael works for RBC Capital Markets in New York City.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon on safari in South Africa before returning home to the concrete jungle of Manhattan. They will celebrate their six-month anniversary with a trip to Tokyo.
